Best Practices
Channel Organization
- Use Categories - Group related channels together
- Clear Naming - Use descriptive, consistent names
- Archive Unused - Delete or hide inactive channels
- Permission Overrides - Set category permissions, inherit to channels
Role Management
- Least Privilege - Grant only necessary permissions
- Role Hierarchy - Place bot role high enough to moderate
- Color Coding - Use colors to identify role types
- Descriptive Names - Make role purposes clear
Security
- Administrator Permission - Grant sparingly (bypasses all permissions)
- Audit Changes - Review role/channel changes in Discord audit log
- Backup Configuration - Use Data Export feature before major changes
- Test Changes - Verify permissions work as intended
Limitations
What You Can Do
- Create, edit, delete channels (all types)
- Create, edit, delete roles
